This is the  ” @ Second Look ” section, my favorite part of showing my vision on photography.

Ordinary and uninteresting situations might change drastically just by looking a little bit better…

….. give some situations a second chance, as might be usual in life.   Look closer at the pictures what you might have missed and enjoy the result of your efforts.

STONEHENGE

Strolling through the meadows near Stonehenge, United Kingdom. Enjoying overviews along the hills, one might miss some interesting details.

Due to dryness, grasses were dried up to boring brown colours, although at closer look….. click on the picture to have a closer look!

STREETWALK

Having a walk with the dog in the neighborhood during summer. Staring at the ground, one can be distracted by thoughts, missing small details of weeds between the tiles.

Although weeds are mostly considered as unwanted, a second and closer look might reveal a surprising beauty…. click on the picture.

GARBAGE DUMP

Walking through a nature area, we ended with this ugly sight of a huge garbage dump with accompanying smells… Whether this nature area was mentioned as a compensation project, or just a last piece of original nature with peat and moors remains unclear.

Without distraction by the dump, beautiful and fascinating rare plants can be detected in the front area…. Click on the picture to have a closer look!

STEEL INDUSTRY

Along the beautiful Dutch ocean coast, an ugly black spot can be detected in IJmuiden, the port entrance from the North Sea to Amsterdam.

A huge complex of industrial steel extraction from ore by ovens heated by charcoal, spreading out its pollution, dust and smell all around !! How difficult it is to survive in such an unattractive area… click on the picture.

ROAD STOP

Having a car stop along a country road in southern France, its frustrating to see the pollution by garbage thrown in this ditch.

Plastic cups, metals, some kind of billboard and dryness might prevent nature to survive… click on the picture to have a closer look!

RUINED FOUNDATIONS

Somewhere in a suburb in a desolated area, ruined buildings were demolished to prevent the danger of collaps.

Between the ruins and its foundations and bricks lying around, weeds and grasses are taking back grounds…. although the monotonous stalk in the center might be surprisingly interesting and delicate. Click on the picture to have a closer look!
